I’m Yayoi, a former professional ballerina turned movement and wellness coach. My journey began with classical ballet, training at the New Zealand School of Dance and performing internationally before transitioning into teaching and fitness.

I later became a presenter and choreographer for Les Mills, completed Polestar Pilates training, and built a strong reputation coaching dancers and clients through Pilates and mindful movement.

Now based in Arrowtown, I run Studio Yayoi, offering personalised training sessions focusing on strength, mobility and overall sustainable well-being.

To me, movement isn’t just exercise, it’s a practice of presence. It’s about finding peace and power within yourself, nurturing your body and mind through love and kindness, connecting to your spirit. It’s being able to live fully, move freely, and experience the richness of life in your body, every single day.
