A former professional ballerina turned holistic wellness and Pilates coach, guiding others toward strength, balance, and deep self-connection at Studio Yayoi, nestled in the heart of the Wakatipu region.
With a rich background performing with international ballet companies, Yayoi brings a lifetime of experience in movement, precision, and body awareness to her work. After retiring from the stage, she trained with Polestar Pilates and has been coaching clients since 2020. She also is represented by Les Mills International as a film presenter and choreographer, where her expertise in form, flow, and expression shines through.
Yayoi launched the Body In Season Method in 2025, a personalised training and wellbeing program that blends functional strength training, longevity-focused movement, mindful nutrition, and transformational wellness practices, all designed to align with your body, your goals, and the season of life you're in.
Yayoi approaches movement as more than physical exercise, it is a powerful tool for cultivating inner balance, resilience, and long-term wellbeing. Her coaching and classes are designed to improve alignment, enhance mind-body connection, and deepen each client’s movement practice, supporting a strong and sustainable foundation for health throughout all stages of life.
Outside the studio, you’ll find Yayoi in the garden, cooking for loved ones, or exploring the outdoors. She draws inspiration from nature, community, and the quiet moments in between.
